Rising Above seeks to bring healing to this land by educating and empowering Aboriginal people in Canada to rise above their abuses to experience life, identity and purpose in Christ as they were created to.
The Ride For Refuge is Rising Above's biggest fundraiser. This year, the proceeds from the Ride will support general operating expenses and Ishaawin Counselling Centre, a ministry division of Rising Above. The Centre provides counselling and spiritual resources to individuals and families with a special focus on First Nations in Thunder Bay and North Western Ontario, who are marginalized due to urbanization and who are on social assistance. The Centre provides the service regardless of the ability to pay.
RIDE with us on October 1st!
