Charity + Board

In Canada, the Ride for Refuge is operated by Blue Sea Philanthropy, a registered Canadian charity. In the United States, it is operated by Blue Sea Philanthropy USA, a 501c3 nonprofit.

Blue Sea Philanthropy's mission is to help charities thrive financially. We do this by operating successful events like the Coldest Night of the Year and Ride for Refuge that help charities raise tens of thousands of dollars for their individual causes annually.

  • Blue Sea Philanthropy promotes and manages each event under agreement with approved "Host Charities" who demonstrate the capacity, ability and passion for the event.
  • Blue Sea Philanthropy provides complete event infrastructure that includes operational, marketing, communication, financial, web, administration, customer service, training, donor services, and receipting.
  • All donations flow through and qualified gifts are receipted by Blue Sea Philanthropy during the Ride for Refuge event.
